home for the holiday

my campfire on friday rocked. i crawled into bed at 7am grinning from ear to ear after almost twelve hours of laughter. it really helps reaffirm that i can have an amazing life without those i've lost.

tonight is the halloween shindig at Osiris, but i think i'm going to skip it. i know it's the big event, and everyone will be there, but i'm content with my memories of friday. i don't want to risk tainting what has been the first excellent holiday i've had in years. so homework and tv are the plan instead. and i'm okay with that.
